X-Unity

by Elena Salmistraro

X-unity marks the fifth chapter of The Art of Becoming , a project that explores the theme of creation, building an ideal bridge between art and fashion. This work is inspired by one of Xacus’ core values: teamwork: the ability to strike the right balance between different individualities, enhancing their unique qualities to achieve a shared goal. To bring this vision to life, we collaborated with an artist known for her eclectic and imaginative creations, positioned at the crossroads of art and design.

On the occasion of Salone del Mobile, Elena Salmistraro’s artwork will be showcased at our Flagship Store in Milan, located at Via Solferino 8, in the heart of Brera.

The research, attention to detail, and craftsmanship that Xacus puts into its products are the same principles I personally dedicate to my creations. After all, design is always a team effort

X-Unity

X-unity is an invitation to recognize the value of others and ourselves, while embracing the harmony of the group . It is a vision that speaks of participation and collaboration through a metaphor of interwoven shapes and colors, enhancing and complementing one another. A pop-inspired creation that conveys a message deeply rooted in Xacus’ philosophy—the importance of teamwork—interpreted through an original language rich in creativity and energy.

A Universal Experience

The ongoing quest for balance between individuality and collectivity is at the heart of the human experience. Teamwork perfectly encapsulates this dynamic : a meeting of distinct identities that must find harmony and synergy to pursue a common goal turning differences into strengths.

Three stylized anthropomorphic figures embody the essence of collaboration and collective energy. Crafted from resin-coated polystyrene and entirely hand-painted with acrylics, their surfaces pulsate with textures, symbols, and colors, representing the different experiences, skills, and personalities that shape a team. Each figure has a unique identity, yet together, they form a cohesive and unified whole. Completing the composition is a large "X," a powerful symbol of intersecting ideas and paths a catalyst for connection.
